The construction project, anchored on the plot’s rear and side recesses, position the house toward the best sunlight while also taking advantage of the large frontal setback and wide view this produces resulting from the corner plot‘s position, creating a large garden.
Volumetrically, we sought to pass along the sensation that the second floor, where the private areas are located, was floating, supported only by slender pillars set back from the lower floor’s glass façade. Thus, the ground floor’s social rooms have high ceilings and are fully integrated with the garden, acting as a piloti. On this level, lower boxes, independent of the main structure, characterize the enclosed areas.
An ample underground floor that houses the entrance, leisure areas, garage and equipment is lit naturally through a pool wall visor and a garden that has been sunk to this level, in the back of the lot.
Low-alloy steel, light-hued woods, white panels and Travertine marble are the materials comprising this project.
